Welcome [subscriber-firstname] to the February edition of the Sunshine Coast Arts News, produced by the Creative Communities unit of Sunshine Coast Council.
Public Art on the Sunshine Coast has just received a boost with the adoption by council of the Public Art Policy late last year. More Public Art projects have been initiated, developed and installed, such as Lucas Salton's Feather Leaves artwork as part of the upgrade of Arcadia St in Noosa Junction, and other projects for Kenilworth and Maroochydore are being planned in the near future. And there are more opportunities in the planning stages for this year. Keep an eye out for the new Public Art being installed across the region, and if you're interested in being placed on the Public Art register to hear of any future opportunities email Creative Communities.
Regards Christine Ballinger, Creative Communities Manager
