'Playtime' 2018 Heritage Calendar

Celebrating leisure, sport and recreational activities over the years on the Sunshine Coast

The 1956 Olympic Torch visit to Eumundi, 1969 Caloundra Nippers, classic beach shots and climbing Mount Tibrogargan are just some of the iconic images making an appearance in the Playtime: celebrating leisure, sport and recreation 2018 cultural heritage calendar, officially unveiled by Mayor Mark Jamieson on October 27.

Mayor Jamieson said the calendar is sure to be a precious keepsake as it captures the essence of life here on the Sunshine Coast and our love of the great outdoors.

Thank you to everyone who shared images that celebrate leisure, recreational and sporting moments from our past. Copies of the Playtime: celebrating leisure, sport and recreation 2018 cultural heritge calendar are available for purchase from council's library branches and Customer Service Centres for only $6.
