Flora non Evidens

Exhibition dates: Wednesday 25 May - Sunday 3 July
Location: Caloundra Regional Gallery

Flora non Evidens is a unique installation of delicate, light reflective embroideries of endangered plant species from Australia’s east coast. When illuminated by the viewer's head torch, life-size trees, vines and flowers appear as a ghostly garden, before disappearing back into the darkness, suggesting the fragile existence of these rare plants and their environments.

Watch This Space

Keep an eye out on the rear wall at Caloundra Regional Gallery in late May. You may just spot international street artist Dface doing his magic in the creation of a new work commissioned for the Sunshine Coast Public Art collection. Two lucky local artists have been selected to work alongside Dface to gain some more tips and skills to bring to our region. More surprising outcomes planned for Caloundra street art, shh it’s a secret!

Wrap It Up

We are seeking skills and inspiration from individual artists and create groups to create an ephemeral cover for a mobile van for public events. For more information and details contact publicart@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
