Off-leash dog beach to stay as Council signs off local laws
Noosa Council has signed off on a suite of new local laws that retain all of Noosa’s existing dog off-leash areas and add some new ones in areas suggested by residents. The decision reflects residents’ calls for the north Sunshine Beach and Peregian Beach dog off-leash areas to remain unchanged. Read more.

More than 200 locals had their say at the Peregian Beach surf club last Saturday morning. They were submitting their views on ideas concerning future plans for the village, parking and pedestrian issues, the foreshore, the Rufous Street precinct and Di Hirst Oval and surrounds. Read more.

Noosa Residents are invited to contribute to a new economic plan for the shire at a workshop to be held on 25 May. Signs and street numbers to clear up Wallace Park confusion
Locating the many community services and organisations within the Wallace Park Precinct is set to get easier. Each of the facilities will gain individual street numbers, and new signage will be installed at the entrance to the precinct to clear up confusion. Read more.
Historic Noosa Council Minutes published online
More than a century after Noosa Shire Council held its first meeting, the original and beautifully handwritten Minute books have been digitised and preserved online. The first stage of the project features Council Minutes from 1910 to 1921, which will be a boon for researchers and local historians. Read more.
Weyba Creek access improvements
Council has signed off a Weyba Creek formal access point and kayak/canoe launching facility as part of next year’s capital works budget. The decision follows community consultation over severe creek bank erosion at Weyba Esplanade. Read more.
