Reporting a pothole, graffiti and a host of other issues to Council just got easier, thanks to the Snap Send Solve smartphone app.

Locals can use the app to snap a picture and send details to Council at the touch of a button. Read more.

Support for Noosa's small businesses

Council has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Small Business Solutions Program (SBS) to help the Shire’s 7000-plus small businesses grow and prosper.

The Small Business Solutions Program links small businesses with qualified mentors and vocational education. Read more.

Nominate now to join Council's heritage advisory group

Council is calling for nominations for six positions on the Noosa Heritage Reference Group.

The Group will advise Council on heritage priorities and the sorts of heritage projects it should take on. Read more.

Council gains ground in capital works catch-up

A year of hard work has paid off with Council halving its capital program carry-over on last year.

Acting CEO Martin Drydale said last year Council carried $8 million worth of capital works projects over to the new financial year, compared to $3.9 million this year. Read more.

Council launches new grants program

Council has launched a new grants program to help Noosa’s business groups and community associations deliver projects with an economic development focus.

The new Economic Development Grants will distribute $60,000 worth of funding via a competitive application process. Read more.

The Making of Midnight Oil exclusive to Noosa Regional Gallery

A major exhibition celebrating the 'power and the passion' of inspirational rock band Midnight Oil will open free to the public at Noosa Regional Gallery, Friday 2 September.

The Making of Midnight Oil examines the band’s impact on social and cultural history across a 40-year period. Read more.

Help put a lid on river rubbish

Council is asking residents and visitors to help keep Noosa River rubbish-free.

It comes after Council staff spent more than three hours last week clearing two fishing-related campsites of rubbish, including cans and bottles, bait bags, old food, a mattress, tarp, deck chairs and even an old two-seater couch. Read more.
